Designers for the new IMO cell phone store wanted a dramatic and extremely durable countertop and accent wall strip as a display for their products. As retail locations, these stores see heavy customer use - so the surfaces needed to stand up to daily wear and tear and still remain beautiful over time. The designers also wanted a look that was clean, contemporary and one that expressed the "magic" of new technology.
These countertops and accent wall strip were made from our 1-1/2" Snow material. The displayed products seem to float on the material and the simple backdrop gives the effect of a bottomless depth. The 2-tiered design of some counters leaves room for product information and secure niches for the product. The LightBlocks Snow material was shaped into ovals and rectangles with comfortable eased edges. As a retail countertop, LightBlocks with the durable matte finish and resin coat repels fingerprints and heavy wear. |
