M.B. Wellington Studio, Inc. was founded by Mary Boone Wellington, designer and creator of public art projects for 20 years. In search of a lightweight, translucent substitute for glass, Wellington developed LightBlocks®. This new material is a powerful medium for communicating color, defining space, and changing the way we see things.

Architects were intrigued by the lit-from-within quality of LightBlocks® and to satisfy the wide demand for this unique architectural material M. B. Wellington Studio, Inc. began manufacturing and marketing LightBlocks® in 1999. Our newly expanded production facility enables us to meet the large demand for custom LightBlocks® at surprising speed.
